Sweeney Todd, Casa Mañana 2019

Fresh perspectives with classic taste.

“I am deeply inspired by the visual images that I surround myself with in daily life. I am a passionate visual arts advocate, and I find myself being drawn to creating movement and staging that takes on the astounding kinetic life of some of my favorite paintings, the swirl of a brush. I also find so much glee in watching the abandonment and freedom of classic musical movie stars such as Gene Kelly, Vera Ellen, and Cyd Charisse. My style as a creative tends to reflect both of these unique loves of mine, bringing the charm and nostalgia of the past into the future with focus on lines, shapes, and structure.”

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Brad served as the Assistant Director on Casa Mañana’s 2019 production of Sweeney Todd under the direction of Noah Putterman. In this role, he contributed to the artistic creation of the show’s concept and staging while also spearheading the show’s research and dramaturgy work.

Check out Brad’s dramaturgy packet for the show below:

“Brad is a true trailblazer among his peers. He never backs down from a challenge, and his kindness, humility, humor, and enthusiasm regularly inspire admiration. In short, Brad consistently leaves all around him wondering if there’s anything he can’t do. ”
